For the sixth consecutive year, each of Fort Zumwalt School District’s four comprehensive high schools ranks among America’s Best High Schools according to US News & World Report. Of the nearly 18,000 schools ranked, only the top 40 percent earned eligibility to display a U.S. News Best High Schools 2023 badge. U.S. News “Best” badges are widely recognized as symbols of excellence in U.S. education.
The rankings are produced in conjunction with RTI International, a global research firm. U.S. News doesn’t collect data directly from high schools – all data comes directly from official third-party sources.
The national rankings for the four Fort Zumwalt high schools put them in the top 21 percent of high schools in the country. The Best High Schools list is also broken out by state and region. There are almost 800 public high schools in Missouri, US News ranks Fort Zumwalt South, West, East and North in the Top 44.

Congratulations Marshae Hogue for receiving a positive office referral today! Coach Fisher stated that in class today they were getting into groups for a challenge when Marshae saw a student who was unsure about joining a group. She invited the student to join hers and made her part of the team. Awesome job Marshae! #FZNPride #BuiltOnTheNorthside
Not only did Ms. Smith receive a well-deserved positive office referral for being an incredibly positive influence in the building today, she also designed a lesson for Panthers that asked them to write down every historical event they could remember. They had four minutes. These students are something else.
Coach Clynes received a positive office referral for assisting Dr. Entwistle and a custodian corral a wild bird that was stuck in the gym lobby over the summer. He then let it go free outside. Great job Coach Clynes! #FZNPride #BuiltOnTheNorthside
