Notes from the Principal:

April is upon us, and hopefully some warmer/drier days!  We are nearing our MAP testing window as well, with testing to begin the week of April 22.  The final schedule is still to come, as we are awaiting one more schedule from which a student is transitioning to each day.

Due to snow /cold weather days, our last day of school is now scheduled for May 29.  This will also be an Early Release Day. Please mark this important date on your calendars!

The paperwork for the Extended School Year (ESY) program was due March 29.  We have verbal confirmation for attendance for a few of our students, but it is extremely important the paperwork is returned as soon as possible.  Staffing decisions will be made based upon the submitted forms and we want to make sure we are prepared for our enrollment numbers. Thanks in advance for getting this paperwork turned in!

Clemens Center Spotlight - PE

The MCC Spotlight for April will round out our specialists area by talking about PE at the Mike Clemens Center with Coach Nick.  Coach Nick comes from Mount Hope five days a week in the afternoons to give our students the opportunity to participate in Physical Education.

In PE students are working toward improving their overall fitness through individual and team work.  We run, stretch and exercise each day as well as play games to keep the students active and engaged. Coming up we will be getting outside to work on catching and throwing skills, batting skills, disc games and parachute activities.

MCC Fine Arts Night

The Mike Clemens Center will be hosting a Fine Arts Night starting at 6 pm, May 13. The Students and Staff are thrilled to provide the opportunity to show the skills they have learned this year!
