Being late to school means, your child is missing important information.

Don't let your child stay home unless he is truly sick. Stomach aches and headaches can be a sign of anxiety and are not a reason to stay home. Talk to teachers and our counselor for advice on reducing the anxiety.

Develop a backup plan for getting to school if something comes up. Call on a family member, a neighbor, or another parent.

Schedule appointments and extended trips when school is not in session.
