Notes from the Administrators:
Our first couple of weeks of the 2019-2020 school year have brought many successes already. We welcomed several new staff members and a few new students. It has been exciting to see everyone getting to know each other and engaging in many activities. We are excited for the team we have here at the MCC!
We are still needing a few student health inventory and health care consent forms. If you have not turned one in for your child yet, please do so as soon as possible. This information is important for us to have on file and updated yearly in case of a medical emergency.
We have several students who made the switch in hours to 7:30 am - 3 pm as they have joined our middle school classes. Our elementary friends are enjoying starting their day at 8:30. All are adjusting to the many changes that have taken place with the new school year. Feel free to contact your child’s teacher or us if you have any questions, concerns, or comments that can assist us in building success.

School Lunch Information
Free/Reduced Lunch
The Fort Zumwalt School District participates in the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program. Children from families whose current income has either temporarily or permanently fallen below certain federal guidelines can qualify for free and reduced price meals. The identity of qualified children is completely confidential and the district goes to great lengths to keep these children anonymous from their peers. Parents should consider taking advantage of this valuable program should their current financial circumstances warrant participation. Forms can be obtained from the district’s website or by calling the school’s office.
Fall Picture Day
Every fall for picture day we take our students from MCC to Westhoff Elementary to take their school pictures. We are still finalizing the set time our students will get their picture taken, but it will be sometime during the school day on Sept. 6, 2019.
Picture Forms will be coming home this week.

MAP Student Score Reports
If your child took the MAP assessment last spring at the MCC, you will receive their individual student report in an envelope on Friday, August 30th. In addition, a letter explaining the reports will be included.
You may also call our school office and we will be happy to assist you!
Trash for Cash
We collect Box Tops for Education at the MCC. Please send these in with your child, we will submit them, and then purchase items to help support our students’ learning. Thanks in advance for helping to clip and save!
